On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,054. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 53.154 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 23,175. Major business was contributed by DJ amounting to PKR 27.755 billion followed by Gold PKR 19.596 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 1.524 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 1.242 billion, SP500 PKR 1.181 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 823.677 million, Platinum PKR 542.652 million, Silver PKR 383.974 million, Copper PKR 43.540 million, Palladium PKR 22.900 million, Natural Gas PKR 20.616 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 16.595 million. In agriculture one lot of Wheat valued at PKR 3.660 million and 6 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 2.768 million were traded.
