Omer Ayub Khan, Minister for Energy, Power/Petroleum Division called on Lieutenant-General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad (retd), MD/CEO Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) at MPCL Head Office, Islamabad on Thursday. Lieutenant-General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad (retd), MD/CEO briefed the Minister regarding the performance of MPCL over the year. While briefing the minister, the MD MPCL said that the company is proud to provide uninterrupted gas supply to its customers since its inception.

He also said that Mari is highest contributor to government exchequer on account of taxes and levies as a percentage of gross sales, says a press release issued here. The managing director said that the credit of MPCL success goes to its professional team who has managed lowest cost of production and highest earning per share among all E & P companies.

The managing director said that MPCL has the highest remaining gas reserves at Mari Gas Field with 4.60 tfc and managed to win number of awards including Prime Minister's Award for Corporate Excellence and the Company was declared the fastest growing Company for the last three consecutive years. The minister for petroleum hailed the performance of MPCL in the field of petroleum.-PR
