He said that the Indian media had alleged that the mosque and seminary are allegedly associated with training center of Jaish-e-Mohammad. The allegation of India media is baseless, as hundreds of pupils including orphan and children from low- income families are getting religious education in the seminary and mosque, he said.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bahawalpur Shozaib and Superintendent of Police (SP) Saeed visited and inspected the seminary and checked all the facilities in the building in detail. More than 650 students are studying in the seminary and 65 staff members including teachers are working at the institution. The residents of Bahawalpur through generous donations fulfill all the requirements of the madrassa. Furthermore, the local residents provide rice and wheat freely to the seminary. The special branch CTD and other departments conduct an inspection of the said and other seminaries on a regular basis. The government of Punjab has taken control of the seminary as a precautionary measure to ensure the protection of students.-PR
