On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3624. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.302 billion and the number of lots traded 10,490.

Major business was contributed by gold PKR 3.199 billion followed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.964 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.391 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.037 billion, silver PKR 208.301 million, platinum PKR 147.913 million, DJ PKR 116.916 million, copper PKR 81.542 million, natural gas PKR 74.335 million, SP500 PKR 34.439 million, Brent crude oil PKR 26.222 million and Palladium PKR 19.075 million. In agriculture commodities 10 lots of cotton valued at PKR 13.673 million were traded.
