The total export cargos of 41,281 tonnes comprised of 34,581 tonnes of containerised cargo; 700 tonnes of bulk cargo and 6,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 6,833 containers comprising of 3,220 containers import and 3,613 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Friday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 1,212 of 20's and 995 of 40's loaded while 06 of 20's and 06 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 855 of 20's and 509 of 40's loaded containers while 298 of 20's and 721 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were seven ships namely Maersk Salina, Express Athens, Atb Brownsville, Petrochem Trader, Cendana, Zhong Shan Men and Hai Yang Di Zhi Shi Hao carrying containers, oil tankers, steel and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were three vessels viz. MOL Generosity, CSCL Yellow Sea and CSC Peace carrying containers and oil tanker respectively currently at the berths.
The total export cargo of 22,800 tonnes includes 22,800 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 3,300 containers comprising of 2,100 containers import and 1,200 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Friday. There were two ships namely MT Gas Amazon and MT Maritime Gisela carrying LPG and palm oil respectively sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while four more ships namely CV CMA CGM Al-Maviva, CV Mearsk Brooklyn, MV Komi and MV Pedholas Trader carrying containers, coal and soyabean respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of eleven vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, coal, soyabean, bitumen, LNG, LPG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours. As many as fifteen vessels viz. CV Maersk Salina, MV Gao Yu, MV Gao Yu-2, MV SDTR Bellona, MV Scarabe, MV Sea Pace, MV Port Macau, MV Pacific Activity, MV Vara Vine, MV Ikan Pulass, MV Sheng Heng Hai, MT Chemroad Lily, MT NCC Maha, MT Hori Trader and MT Navigate Voilte respectively carrying containers, bitumen, canola, coal and palm oil were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were three vessels viz. CV Mearsk Salina, MV Sea Pace and MT NCC Maha carrying containers, coal and palm oil respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Friday
There was one ship namely CV MSC Roberta carrying containers due to arrive on Friday, while two ships namely CV Diyala and CV AS Papla carrying containers are due to arrive on Saturday.
