Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bashir Ahmed Nasir has expressed strong displeasure over the performance of Station House Officers (SHOs) and directed them to immediately launch an aggressive operation against habitual criminals, especially wanted criminals. Chairing a meeting to review the performance of Civil Lines Division on Friday, the CCPO strongly reprimanded the SHOs for their failure to control criminal activities. He said they have already provided a list of 500 top criminals to the SHOs for their early arrest. "Now, it is up to the SHOs how to arrest them," he added.

He asked the SPs concerned to personally review the performance of the SHOs and submit a detailed report in this regard. The CCPO also gave a two-week time to the SHO for improving their progress. Speaking on the occasion, DIG Operations Lahore Waqas Nazir warned that a strict departmental action will be taken if someone found negligent.
