On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,667. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.036 billion and the number of lots traded 20,255.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 PKR 7.902 billion followed by gold amounting to PKR 2.357 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.612 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.178 billion, DJ PKR 326.662 million, silver PKR 235.454 million, platinum PKR 147.486 million, SP500 PKR 124.651 million, copper PKR 110.994 million, natural gas PKR 33.886 million and Brent crude oil PKR 6.418 million. In agriculture commodities 32,720 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 8.736 million were traded.
