The Sindh Police on Thursday announced to initiate campaign against gamblers and those lodging fabricated/false cases with the police stations. The announcement came in light of the directives of the provincial police chief Dr Kaleem Imam who has asked all zonal DIGs of the province to initiate weekly drive against gamblers and persons lodging fake FIRs

A notice issued by IG Sindh office on Wednesday said strict action is required as per 211 and 182 of Pakistan Penal Code to curb tendency of lodging fabricated/ false cases. In order to curb menace of gambling the action be launched against operators of large/small scale dens by suing professional techniques.

The SSPs of all units and districts have been asked to monitor the campaign at their respective jurisdictions, and submit the performance report with the IG office.
