Secretary General Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and General Secretary PPP Punjab Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed have warned the government against using the institutions to fulfil personal vendettas.

This said this while addressing a news conference here on Thursday. "The labour union is not responsible for the destruction of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and should not be held responsible. The government has paved the way for removal of the trade unions from the WTO and GSP Plus by banning them. We will not allow the trade unions to be banned at any cost," they said.

They said that the government is willing to pay two million rupees to the legal advisors for PIA but no new planes are being purchased. They said that it is crystal clear that former President Asif Ali Zardari is being targeted for the 18th Amendment because it removed the leftover scars of dictatorship that had been present since 1977.

Bukhari said that the selected Prime Minister is toying with the foundations of the country. He said that there is news circulating regarding the reversal of the 18thAmendment which is alarming as these are advancements towards stripping the nation off of its democratic rights. He said that the PPP will never tolerate these advances that are being made to abolish the 18th Amendment, adding that it is the PPP's policy to stand for the rights of the people.
