Chief Economist of UK Department for International Development (DFID), Rachel Glennersher has reportedly said that the most important thing for Pakistani government is its own strategy (reform agenda) to improve the economy and International Monetary Fund (IMF) may support it.

What this highly respected economist has said makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, however, the PTI government seems to have no game-plan. That the last PML-N government has bequeathed to the PTI government a bruised or mutilated economy is a fact. The PTI government must not act as a prisoner of the past. It must unveil its 'strategy'.
