On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,619. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.06 8billion and the number of lots traded 12,123.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.363 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.607billion, gold PKR 1.569 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 903.730 million, DJ PKR 326.928 million, natural gas PKR 59.356 million, platinum PKR 57.565million, silver PKR 54.640 million, copper PKR 51.354 million, SP500 (PKR 28.271 million, Japan Equity Index PKR 25.287 million and Brent crude oil PKR 20.946 million.

In agriculture commodities 18,935 lots of red chilli valued PKR 5.396 million and 6 lots of cotton valued PKR 3.039 million were traded.
