According to media reports, more Britons want to remain a member of the European Union than leave it. Citing a survey published on Sunday, the reports also say that it has been learnt that more Britons want to make the final decision themselves. Britain is due to leave the EU on March 29 this year, but Prime Minister Theresa May is struggling to get her exit deal approved by parliament, opening up huge uncertainty over whether a deal is possible, or even whether the country will leave at all.

The survey appears to be highly credible. It needs to be, however, recalled that France's Victor Hugo was one of the key proponents of a 'United States of Europe'. It is quite interesting to note that his idea of the "European dream" has not been pummeled or decimated by the "American dream" but an absolutely inclusive "British dream".
