Emir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Mualna Fazlur Rehman and President Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday met Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and exchanged views on the prevailing political situation of the country. According to a brief statement issued here by the media office of PPP, the former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari attended the wedding ceremony of the son of a senior journalist Hamid Mir.

It stated that JUI-F chief Mualana Fazlur Rehman and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also held meeting with Asif Zardari on the occasion in which PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also present. The PML-Q is an important coalition partner of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government both in centre and Punjab.

Sources, however, said that the political leaders also exchanged views on the prevailing political situation of the country. They said that the meeting was very important and was held at a time when PPP top leadership is facing the investigations into the fake bank accounts case.
