I am bringing to the notice of authorities concerned the bad condition of the link road between Mehdi Hassan Road and Fakhruddin Valika Road in Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) situated between K-Electric (SITE office) near Total Petrol Pump and Kaka CNG Pump. For the last several years, the road has been almost impassable. We have made several complaints to various concerned authorities. The responses and the solutions provided did not produce resolution of the issue of badly damaged road. The complaints made by us include the following authorities:

1) Chief Engineer - SITE; 2) Director General - Environment Protection Agency; 3) The Administrator - Karachi Metropolitan Corporation; 4) The Secretary - Environment, Forest, and Wild Life; and 5) Deputy Director - II (MEC) - Planning and Development Department.

The road which I am referring to is not only facing the issue of the repair but there is a dire need of reconstruction of the sewerage system as well, which we have been reminding to the concerned officials. Unfortunately, the existing sewerage system/pipelines/culverts are unable to bear the load of the ever-expanding "dying industry" in our SITE area. As a result, the narrow sewage lines and the Nallahs paved alongsides the road are insufficient to withstand the gush of dying water being released or discharged by all the dying companies on a regular basis. Not only this, the underground water pipelines rusting away from the inside out, resulting in leaks and collapses.

This road serves many factories and offices in this area, such as Amerli Steels, KE Biiling and Complaint Centre, Haroon Textile Mills, Siddiq Sons and many more.
