The NAB chairman took notice of media reports as PIA passengers were supposed to return from Skardu by PIA flight which reached from Islamabad and was scheduled to come back to Islamabad on time but the Director General CAA allegedly took a group of friends for a special tour to the Nanga Parbat on a PIA plane by misusing his authority and due to which PIA passengers had to wait for two hours besides spending government expenses just to please kith and kin and friends of DG CAA.
The NAB chairman ordered NAB Gilgit/Rawalpindi to probe the matter in detail and submit a report in this regard, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The NAB chairman also sought a report from the PIA plane for taking action against the former CEO of PIA who not only took PIA plane abroad without any legal authority and then sold it on throw away prices in Germany. The NAB chairman said that the PIA is our national asset and safety of this asset is our national duty. He directed to identify the real culprits involved in both the incidents.-PR
