During his meeting with tribal elders in Landi Kotal, Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday assured them that all issues faced by tribal people will be addressed. According to ISPR, General Bajwa said Pakistan Army fully supported mainstreaming of FATA and shall pursue it in line with aspirations of tribal brothers.

Talks regarding peace process are under way with Afghanistan, he said, adding that Pak Army would try its best to ensure law and order in tribal areas of the country. He further announced that job opportunities would be provided to tribal people, whereas, funds worth one billion rupees would be spent for uplift of the areas.- Meanwhile, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar and Khyber Agency.

At Corps HQ, CoAS was given detailed briefing on security situation in FATA/KP and progress on Op RuF, return of TDPs and development works. Commander Peshawar corps and IGFC KP were present during the visit.
