Punjab Information and Culture Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal has regretted that a letter attributed to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) is circulating on social media in which people have been motivated and seminaries students are instigated to join the so-called Azadi March with bamboo sticks.

While talking to media here on Monday, he said that Maulana Fazal ur Rehman should shun such type of politics of chaos; peaceful demonstration is the right of everybody but if anyone tried to indulge in violent protest then the law will come into action and they will be treated in accordance with the law. "The Peoples Party and PML-N have made a good decision of staying away from the Maulana's march," he added.

According to him, Maulana continuously remained the Chairman of the Kashmir Committee for many years but he showed no concern for the solution of the core issue of Kashmir. Now, he has to bear his expenses personally as he is out of power corridors and this has financially burdened him. The real motive of Maulana's so-called march is not the solution of public problems but something else. Prime Minister Imran Khan has vigorously projected the Kashmir issue at every international forum but Maulana is trying to hoodwink the nation so as to divert the world's attention from the plight of hapless Kashmiris. He should realize that Pakistan is going through a difficult phase and his agenda will not be fulfilled.
