Sindh Minister for Information & Archives Saeed Ghani has said that the federal government's constant reluctance over the revival of Karachi Circular Railway project was highly condemnable. Saeed Ghani said it was the PPP government that incorporated the Karachi Circular Railway project into the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

He said that albeit the people of Karachi voted for the PTI government, but they did nothing for them after winning the elections. On the proposal of Opposition Leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi in Sindh Assembly that the provincial government of PPP should write letter to the federal government regarding the Karachi Circular Railway project, Saeed Ghani clarified that in total 14, while to the incumbent government of PTI four letters had been written regarding the restoration of Karachi Circular Railway, but to date no concrete steps had been taken about the revival of the project.

He said this while talking to reporters on Monday. Saeed Ghani told that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had spoken very positively about Karachi Circular Railway Project in Sindh Assembly. The provincial minister said that it was extremely deplorable that Prime Minister Imran Khan was visiting China but his priorities did not include Karachi Circular Railways.

He said that the Sindh Chief Minister had written directly to the Prime Minister in this regard. Despite all this, the exclusion of Karachi Circle Railway's project in Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to China revealed hatred towards Karachiites, he added. Saeed Ghani clarified that Pakistan Peoples Party's government would not stop the people going from Sindh to join Maulana Fazlur Rehman's sit-in in Islamabad. He said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ministers fall within the purview of National Accountability Bureau, then they should be treated in a similar way as was being done with Syed Khurshid Shah and Faryal Talpur.

He said that Chairman National Accountability Bureau was not a king to give clean chit to the members of business community or anyone else at the behest of the prime minister. Provincial Information Minister demanded that the Chairman National Accountability Bureau should make it clear that he had not been blackmailed.-PR
