The 9th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, MNA, here at the Parliament House. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. The bill titled "the Islamabad Capital Territory Food Safety Bill, 2019," moved by Ali Nawaz Awan, was passed by the committee, with slight amendments.

Thereafter, the meeting deferred the agenda for its next meeting as the secretary interior was not available. The committee emphasized the secretary interior to attend the next meeting so that the agenda and allied matters may be disposed of properly.
