Chicago Board of Trade corn futures dropped 1.3 percent on Wednesday, with traders noting bearish pressure from technical sales and improving US harvest prospects. CBOT December corn futures failed to hold support above the high end of its 20-day Bollinger range.

Commodity brokerage INTL FCStone on Tuesday afternoon raised its estimate of the average US 2019 corn yield to 169.3 bushels per acre, from 168.4 in its previous monthly report.
