Atif Ikram Sheikh has been elected Chairman Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) for the year 2019-20. Sheikh Basit Akram and Rana Muhammad ArslanKhan were also unanimously elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively. Sh Abdul Razzaq, M. ShoaibKhan, M Waheed Ch, Awais Karni, Sheikh FiazAhmad, Raza Ibrahim, M Arshad Hai and Sheikh Nauman Ayaz were elected as members of the Executive Committee for the year 2019-2021.

Umer Islam Khan, Secretary General/Chief Election Commissioner, PVMA announced the final results at 76thAnnual General Meeting of the Association at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The Executive Committee and Members of PVMA congratulated Atif Ikram Sheikh and hoped that being a veteran, seasoned and experienced person he will fully utilises potentialities to resolve the problems being faced by the ghee/cooking oil industry.

Later, traditional annual lunch was held at a Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The function was held to bid farewell to the outgoing Chairman Tariq Ullah Sufi and welcome the incoming Chairman Atif Ikram Sheikh. Outgoing Chairman and incoming Chairman in their speeches highlighted the challenges being faced by the industry. Atif Ikram Sheikh thanked the members for reposing confidence in him and assured to solve their problems on fast track basis.-PR
