However, there was not official confirmation to verify about the meeting which is said to have held at the US Embassay at Diplomatic Enclave.
Reports further claimed that the delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar of Taliban's Political Commission held talks with the top US negotiator who is also in Islamabad for the last couple of days.
A 12-member Taliban delegation is in Islamabad on the the invitation of the government of Pakistan and earlier in the day also held meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at Foreign Office. Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant-General Faiz Hameed and other senior officials of Foreign Office were also present in the meeting.
