On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,214. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.970 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 9,633.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 7.037 billion followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 922.168 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 683.831 million, NSDQ100 PKR 682.085 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 495.220 million, Silver PKR 460.789 million, Platinum PKR 341.995 million, DJ PKR 142.766 million, Natural Gas PKR 134.827 million, SP500 PKR 35.314 million, Palladium PKR 25.338 million and Copper PKR 8.962 million.

In agriculture commodities 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.339 million were traded.
