The total export cargos of 81,810 tonnes comprised of 25,815 tonnes of containerised cargo; 201 tonnes of bulk cargo; 39,526 tonnes of clinkers; 16,068 tonnes of cement and 200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 2,399 containers comprising of 1,221 containers import and 1,178 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 434 of 20's and 214 of 40's loaded while 115 of 20's and 122 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 226 of 20's and 196 of 40's loaded containers while 202 of 20's and 179 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were ten ships namely Cosco Hong Kong, Cosco Thailand, Hyundai Mercury, Ubena, Northern Dexterity, MT Lahore, Pacific Sarah, Sam Lion, Coral Orinda and Zea Tokyo carrying containers, oil tanker, mogas, clinkers, bunker and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were eight vessels viz. MP The Belichick, Cape Male, Hyundai Mercury, MT Quetta, Jasmine Express, Al Mahboobah, Coral Orinda and Zea Tokyo carrying containers, oil tankers, chemical, bunker and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
The total import cargo of 137,882 tonnes includes 59,700 tonnes of coal; 36,861 tonnes of diesel oil; 1,300 tonnes of palm oil; 900 tonnes of LPG and 39,121 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 36,708 tonnes includes 36,708 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 3,991 containers comprising of 2,059 containers import and 1,932 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There was one ships namely Happy Helena carrying containers sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while three more ships namely Venture Dylan, Gas Amazon and Junior-G Gas carrying coal. LPG and diesel oil respectively expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of eight vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, coal, LPG and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
As many as nine vessels viz. W-Star, Johnny-P, BTG Kailash, That Hens, Santa Rita, Sea Harvest, Al-Gatara, Mathane Nile Eagle and Argent Cosmos carrying soyabean, canola, coal, chemical, LNG and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were six ships viz. Conti Cosmos, CSAV Tyndall, BTG Kailash, Sea Harvest, Mathane Nile Eagle and Argent Cosmos carrying containers, canola seeds, chemical, LNG and palm oil respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Grains and Furtilizer Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday.
There were two ships namely Conti Cortesia and CSAV Tyndall carrying containers due to arrive on Monday, while two more ships namely Nordmed and Maersk Kensington carrying containers are due to arrive on Tuesday.
