Speaking to business community at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Khalawi announced that board would also build an 'investment bridge' between the entrepreneurs of Islamic countries with local businessmen in Pakistan. An exhibition will be organised on the sidelines of the BoD meeting, providing an opportunity to Pakistani businessmen to showcase their products whereas B2B interaction would also be part of this meeting.
Secretary General announced that new initiatives would be announced during the BoD meeting to focus the future. Talking about arbitration centre, he disclosed that Islamic Chamber is waiting the nod of Turkey for signing the agreement for this centre, which would be located in Turkey. "We are focusing on capacity building of arbitration" he said.
About Halal Food Accreditation Center, Khalawi said that work on it is also under consideration. He also announced that apart from upcoming meeting of BoD, a special meeting would also be held to consider the functioning the headquarter of chamber in Karachi.
