He stated in his letter; "That in case of any unconstitutionality and illegality on the part of government institutions during the march, legal aid will be provided to affected leaders and workers of the JUI-F."
Former vice-chairman PBC Kamran Murtaza on September 11 wrote a letter to Amjad Shah requesting for legal aid for the protesters in case of any unconstitutionality or illegality by the government. The JUI-F has planned a long march on Islamabad in October aimed at ousting the present government. Maulana Fazlur Rehman had claimed; "There will be a huge sea of people which will sweep such small troublemakers like straws."
He has also warned the government against making any effort to disrupt their planned march and expressed the hope that people from all walks of life and from all over the country would reach Islamabad to participate in, what he called, 'Azadi March' to get rid of the present "incompetent and illegitimate government."
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari earlier announced that his party would not participate in the 'Islamabad lockdown' to dislodge Prime Minister Imran Khan's government. On the other hand, PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said the party's central working committee would take a decision in this regard on September 23.
