Pakistan Army on Thursday assigned new responsibilities to five lieutenant generals. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant-General Waseem Ashraf has been appointed as the Commander of Southern Command, Lieutenant-General Azhar Abbas as the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Khalid Zia as the Inspector of General Arms, Lieutenant General Muhammad Chiragh Haider as the Director General of Joint Staff Headquarters and Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar as the Chairman of Pakistan Ordnance Factories.
