The city on Friday witnessed another sizzling weather, as temperature recorded at 36 degrees Celsius with 65 percent humidity, the Met Office said. It said that Karachi is likely to see a humid and hot weather on Saturday (today) as well with temperature ranging up 36 degrees Celsius and humidity 85 percent, as skies are expected to remain cloudless. "Weak seasonal low lies over northern parts of Balochistan. Monsoon currents are penetrating northeastern parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over upper parts of the country," the Met said.

In the next 24 hours: scattered rain and wind-thunderstorm are expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faislabad, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat and Bannu Divisions, besides Islamabad and Kashmir. Isolated falls may hit Gilgit-Baltistan. Hot and humid weather is expected in other parts of the country. In the past 24 hours: Weather remained hot and humid in the most parts of the country. However, isolated rain with wind-thunderstorm occurred in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Hyderabad Divisions and Islamabad.

Maximum rainfall was recorded in Mandibahauddin as 75 mm, Jhelum 39 mm, Chaklala 38 mm, Hafizabad 29 mm, Diplo 17 mm, Shamsabad 13 mm, Islamabad Saidpur 11 mm, Chakwal 10 mm, Islamabad International Airport and Murree 9 mm, each, Chahchoro 8 mm, Mithi 7 mm, Islamabad Zero Point 6 mm and Nagarparkar 5 mm.
