ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan has rejected the appeal filed by Abdul Latif Afridi to restore the latter's party membership. Responding to the appeal, Asfandyar Wali Khan said Abdul Latif Afridi has confessed in plea that the provincial president Aimal Wali Khan has issued show-cause notice to him that was received in his office on August 23, 2019. Therefore, there is no justification that you are unaware of the date of the show-cause notice. The reply said under the show-cause notice, the deadline was due to expire on Saturday (August 31), but still you failed to respond to the show-cause served on you by the provincial president.

The central president of the party had also confessed that you have addressed on election rally on July 18, 2019 at Kajori, district Khyber. Furthermore, the central president in his reply has also said that Abdul Latif Afridi was supposed to reply the show-cause notice served by the provincial president, but submitting a direct appeal with the central leadership is not understandable. Under Section 27 of the ANP constitution, reply to the provincial president within the specified period was must and if you would have any objection over the decision of the provincial president, then under the Section 27 you had an opportunity of file an appeal with the central president.
