Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Kashmir Cell will be established in all foreign missions of Pakistan to highlight the issue of Kashmir and ongoing atrocities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Qureshi stated this while talking to members of the Kashmir Cell here at the Foreign Office. He visited the Cell and got a detailed briefing from senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood, Special Secretary Moazam Ali and other senior officials of the Foreign Office accompanied the foreign minister.

Qureshi said that Kashmir Cell will be set up in all the embassies, high commissions and Pakistan's missions abroad, adding that focal persons would also be appointed to keep in touch with the Cell.

He said that Kashmir Cell will work 24/7 to ensure sharing important information and take directives. The foreign minister also visited different departments of Kashmir Cell. Kashmir Cell was established on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the wake of India's August 5 illegal and unilateral actions.
