Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday warned that the deteriorating situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) is a threat to regional peace. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief stated this during a visit to Headquarters Gujranwala Corps where he was briefed about operational preparedness.

"Solidarity displayed by the nation with Kashmiri brethren during Kashmir Hour today (Friday) is a strong message to the world. Deteriorating situation in IOJ&K is threat to regional peace," the ISPR quoted the Army Chief as having said in his address in HQ Gujranwala Corps. The Army Chief's statement comes on the occasion when the nation observed Kashmir Hour across the country to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their worst days of Indian brutalities following Modi government revoked the special status of the occupied valley.
