On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,164. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.478 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 8,269. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.621 billion followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.513 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 730.882 million, Silver PKR 644.664 million, Platinum PKR 578.850 million, NSDQ100 PKR 506.406 million, DJ PKR 447.006 million, Copper PKR 289.374 million, SP500 PKR 57.356 million, Palladium PKR 45.945 million, Natural Gas PKR 33.437 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 10.226 million. In agriculture two lots of Wheat valued at PKR 7.396 million and four lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 1.837 million were traded.
