He said this while speaking to media persons in Rawalpindi on Thursday. "Kashmir issue will be resolved under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan," he said. Pakistan's foreign policy under the leadership of PM Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is working effectively, he added.
Rashid said that the Kashmir dispute would be resolved under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Pakistan wants peace but if war is imposed, a befitting response would be given to it, he added. He said that Modi has made the biggest mistake by revoking the special status of Kashmir.
The minister vowed not to take rest until freedom of Kashmir gets materialised. He said that the Prime Minister's address to the UN General Assembly next month will be historic.
The minister said, "We have shut down Samjhauta Express and Thar Express trains to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people against the unilateral actions of fascist Modi."
About Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he said that there are only political differences between him and former president Asif Ali Zardari but there is no personal enmity, adding that shifting him to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a positive move.
Earlier, the minister visited different hospitals and inquired after the dengue patients in Rawalpindi. The minister was informed that around 5,000 dengue patients were brought to the hospitals in Rawalpindi where 900 are still under treatment.
Rashid said that present dengue situation is worse than that of 2015 and the matter would be discussed with the Punjab chief minister. He further said that a request would be made to the Prime Minister for allocation of space for dengue patients at PIMS.
