The total export cargos of 40,355 tonnes comprised of 18,810 tonnes of containerised cargo; 20,145 tonnes of clinkers and 1,400 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 3,765 containers comprising of 2,197 containers import and 1,568 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 428 of 20's and 640 of 40's loaded while 25 of 20's and 232 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 547 of 20's and 456 of 40's loaded containers while 37 of 20's and 36 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were four ships namely Kota Gunawan, Diyala, Beaufort and Karina Danica carrying containers, steel and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were five vessels viz. Wan Hai-611, APL Minnesota, Botany Bay, Kota Gunawan and Karina Danica carrying containers and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
The total import cargo of 86,524 tonnes includes 51,017 tonnes of coal; 11,000 tonnes of diesel oil; 2,550 tonnes of palm oil; 2,017 tonnes of project cargo; 5,500 tonnes of canola and 14,440 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 9,082 tonnes includes 9,082 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 1,238 containers comprising of 760 containers import and 478 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
There were four ships namely MSC Bilbao, Hai Xing, Spring Hawk and SCF Alpine carrying containers, project cargo, coal and diesel oil respectively expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
A total number of eight vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, project cargo, coal, canola, diesel oil and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours. As many as five vessels viz. MSC Pina, Pacific Constant, Epic Shikoku, Fuwairit and NCC Mha carrying containers, coal, LNG, LPG and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were four ships viz. MSC Pina, Maersk Columbus, Fuwairit and Epic Shikoku carrying containers, LNG and LPG respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and SSGC LPG Terminal respectively on Tuesday. There were two ships namely Maersk Columbus and Fuwairit carrying containers and LNG respectively due to arrive on Tuesday. There are three ships namely MOL Grandeur, As Paola and FB Ayila carrying containers and project cargo respectively due to arrive on Wednesday.
