This is apropos a Business Recorder news item "PM says will no longer seek talks with Modi" carried by the newspaper yesterday. Speaking to the New York Times, prime minister Imran Khan deplored lack of any response to his repeated offers of dialogue to India before and after the August 5 crackdown in occupied Kashmir. He also told the newspaper that he would no longer seek dialogue with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

Prime minister Imran Khan's remarks explain his approach to the situation aggravated by New Delhi's stepped up repressive measures against people in occupied Jammu & Kashmir. That the incumbent government in India is not open and responsive to repeated dialogue offers is a fact. Today's India appears to be a belligerent adolescent boy who is far from attaining maturity.
