The total import cargos of 61,014 tonnes comprised of 4,623 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,045 tonnes of DAP, 3,058 tonnes of fertilizer and 47,288 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargos of 16,546 tonnes comprised of 7,894 tonnes of containerised cargo; 8,652 tonnes of clinkers and nil tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
As many as 1,761 containers comprising of 258 containers import and 1,503 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 143 of 20's and 52 of 40's loaded while 11 of 20's and nil of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 237 of 20's and 55 of 40's loaded containers while 846 of 20's and 155 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were four ships namely AS Paola, Seamax Bridgeport, MT Quetta and Al Safa carrying containers and oil tankers respecteiely sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were three vessels viz. MT Lahore, Ardmore Seavaliant and FLC Fortune carrying oil tankers and clinkers respectively currently at the berths.
A cargo volume of 186,509 tonnes comprising 147,977 tonnes of import cargo and 38,532 tonnes of export cargo including 2,165 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The total import cargo of 147,977 tonnes includes 53,544 tonnes of LNG; 65,560 tonnes of coal; 11,860 tonnes of palm oil; 6,399 tonnes of soyabean; 5,702 tonnes of chemical and 2,603 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 38,532 tonnes includes 38,532 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 2,165 containers comprising of 137 containers import and 2,028 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There were three ships namely CMA CGM Butterfly, Maersk Jalan and Chemroad Nova carrying containers and chemical respectively sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships namely Star Planet and Gaslog Shanghai carrying soyabean and LNG respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of twelve vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, general cargo, coal, soyabean, chemical, LNG and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
As many as ten vessels viz. Spring Melody, IVS Wentworth, Bulk Costa Rica, CP Shen Zhen, BBG Integrity, Cela Nova, Navig-8 Spica, Tiger Harmony, Altesse and Golden Brilliant carrying coal, canola seeds, chemical, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were three ships viz. MSC Esthi, BBG Integrity and Cela Nova carrying containers, canola seeds and chemical respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Grains and Furtilizer Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday.
There was one ship namely MSC Esthi carrying containers due to arrive on Monday.
There are two ships namely APL New York and Maersk Hartford carrying containers due to arrive on Tuesday, while another ship namely Los Angles Trader carrying containers is due to arrive on Wednesday.
