Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to expedite the pending dues of advertisements of media houses and newspapers and also constituted a high-level committee in this regard. The committee comprising provincial ministers of law, information, finance and officials of line departments will submit its recommendations within three days.

The CM has also sought the details of pending cases and desired that immediate steps will be taken by adopting a comprehensive strategy for the payment of dues. The media bodies should also be taken into confidence with regard to payment of dues, he added. Moreover, the CM Sardar Usman Buzdar in a meeting accorded formal approval to e-transfer policy for the teachers of schools education department.

Addressing the meeting, the CM said that new policy would save time of the teachers besides ensuring transparency as every posting/transfer will be made purely on merit. "Teachers will also register their complaints in case of any problem and the service delivery will be improved due to the new system," he said, adding: "The enforcement of e-transfer policy and money will introduce transparency and merit culture in education system." Usman directed that a comprehensive policy be devised for the posting of teachers in the schools of remote areas besides devising a feasible strategy for ensuring attendance of teachers in schools of Cholistan, Murree, Thal, tribal and other far-flung areas. Similarly, cleanliness arrangements around schools should be ensured.

The CM was given a briefing about e-transfer policy. The meeting was informed that certified data of teachers have been collected. Provincial Minister for Schools Education Murad Raas, Principal Secretary to CM, Secretary Schools and others attended the meeting.
