Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) has demanded the federal government to announce much-publicized 'Tax Amnesty Scheme' soon to boost revenue collection. According to details, Chairman ABAD Muhammad Hassan Bakshi while welcoming the appointment of Shabbar Zaidi as chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) hoped that he would bring in new strategy to solve problems of business community and would create new venues for tax collection instead of squeezing already taxed persons.

He said that this decision would have good impact on revenue generation and solution of tax-related problem as he was well-known in business circles and in bureaucracy as well. He said that widening tax net was necessary for more tax collection and demanded the federal government to announce tax amnesty scheme shortly for boosting revenue collection.
