Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together towards a common goal which is to promote business and investment in Punjab and Pakistan. The MoU was signed by CEO PBIT, Jahanzeb Burana and Richard Morin, Managing Director Pakistan Stock Exchange for mutual cooperation and collaboration in business growth which can play a major part in economic stability of the province.

Richard Morin visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, met CEO PBIT and their senior management. The purpose of the meeting was to identify business opportunities and create awareness regarding the role PSX can play in the economic development of the province as well as registration of businesses at PSX and how PBIT can assist the capital market and the exchange in its efforts to increase its activities in the province.

Morin gave a detailed overview on PSX and stock investments including the history of PSX, investment avenues, risk/return parameters, long term investments, and considerations while investing. The participants were briefed on structural, strategic and regulatory developments. They were explained how the stock market was comparatively a good avenue for long term investments. Furthermore, he emphasized on investing in PSX as it would surely scale up the economic growth of the businesses. He urged that retail investor base can be increased through awareness.
