The PFA has lodged a case against accused in the respective police station. He said that food authority was making the best possible efforts to control the elimination of milk adulteration as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The DG further said PFA also unearthed two Khoya units involved in the preparation of adulterated Khoya in Harapa. The Khoya units were being prepared with vanaspati ghee, powder and hazardous chemicals. Meanwhile, all prepared Khoya was preserved in non-food grade drums.
Usman informed that the PFA confiscated 80kg substandard vanaspati ghee, 100kg adulterated Khoya, blue drums, and a freezer during the raid. The team PFA also shut down a factory manufacturing plastic bottles. Meanwhile, the DG directed the Director Admin PFA to prepare the preliminary budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020 within two days.
