Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah told India that "we are not scared of war but Pakistan is a peaceful nation," saying that the entire Pakistani nation is united to defend their motherland against any aggression. He said that the Pak Air Force shot down Indian jet just after it entered the country's airspace. He also asked the Indian government to place all its evidences to substantiate its claims of killing 300 people in Balakot and shooting down PAF's F16. "The world does not believe in claims," he told Modi government.
He said that the suicide strike in Pulwama against Indian troops was carried out by a local citizen, but India without any second thought targeted Pakistan for its blast. The man who turned out to be the attacker had been in India's jails, he said, adding that the Pulwama attack should not be attributed to Pakistan. "India is propagating against Pakistan," he told the provincial legislature.
He said that the Sindh government has evolved a plan for better arrangements to make sure all supplies of medicines and foods through clear routes towards the borderlines. He also assured the house that the government will take the opposition into confidence on its plan making and execution in this connection.
Opposition leader, Firdous Shamim Naqvi of the PTI paid tribute to former premier Pakistan, late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for making Pakistan a nuclear power to defend the motherland against all external aggressions. He also extolled the armed forces of Pakistan for bravery against the Indian aggression and defeating their air intrusions into the country's airspace. "We salute to the Prime Minister of Pakistan" for his peace promoting message to India but also said that "Imran Khan will never bow down to any coercion".
He also appreciated Imran Khan for realizing Indian pilot, who was captured the other day after he intruded his jet into Pakistan's airspace and shot down by Pakistan Air Force over Azad Kashmir. He said that Pakistan wants peace at any cost but showed concerns over the Indian negative tactics that resulted in killings of thousands of Kashmiris in held Kashmir at the hands of Indian military over the decades. "Kashmiris are being killed because they are Muslims," he said, adding that the country will never compromise on its sovereignty. He warned that war will yield destructions.
MQM's Nadeem Siddiqui said that "we are united for peace and stands by Pak Army". PPP's Abdul Bari Pitafi said that war always brings devastation with it, vowing Sindhis will continue its support to peace. He said that India has always played a politics of blame game against Pakistan. GDA's Dr Rafiq Banbhan called the Modi government 'coward' saying that Pakistan is a great nation. TLP's Sarwat Fatima said that her party stands by Pak Army. Several other lawmakers expressed their views and paid tributes to the armed forces for making India bite the dust and lick its wounds. The house will now meet on Friday at 3 pm.
