Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Thursday said that protection of life and property of the people is the fundamental responsibility of the state and no stone will be left unturned in this regard. The CM chaired a high-level meeting at his office here on Thursday in which overall law and order situation of the province was reviewed. The meeting expressed its satisfaction over the arrangements made for the protection of life and property of the people.

Addressing the meeting, the CM directed to take every possible step for further improving the law and order situation. "I am personally monitoring the law and order situation," he added. Moreover, the CM is his message on the eve of "World Civil Defence Day" said the importance of civil defence has increased manifold and its role cannot be ignored in present-day circumstances. "The civil defence department is needed to perform with renewed commitment and passion and it is also imperative to synchronize it according to latest needs and requirements of the society," he said.
