On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,701. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.423 billion and the number of lots traded 11,125. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 4.712 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.360 billion, gold PKR 1.363 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.063 billion, silver PKR 347.258 million, platinum PKR 225.712 million, Palladium PKR 83.798 million, SP500 PKR 79.094 million, Brent crude oil PKR 56.560 million, DJ PKR 50.618 million, copper PKR 47.932 million, natural gas PKR 29.853 million and Japan Equity PKR 2.987 million.

In agriculture commodities 15 lots of wheat valued at PKR 48.691 million, 12 lots of cotton valued at PKR 19.540 million and 16,880 lots of red chilli valued at PKR 4.473 million were traded.
