The minister said sane voices are coming from India that there should be no war to gain political objectives. He said war has become a top trend on social media in India. He expressed hope that peace would prevail, which would be in the best interest of both the countries and the whole region.
Fawad said no religion teaches violence and there is no room for extremism in Islam. He said Pakistan has successfully tackled irregular conflicts by rendering over 70,000 lives, which indicates its society's strong resilience. He further said the enemy was not clear in 'irregular conflict' unlike India.
Minister said Pakistan defeated terrorism and now it would stand successful in tackling the issue of extremism, adding that Pakistan has faced terrorism for the last 30 years.
He said whole nation appreciated those whose youth scarified their lives in war against terrorism. "We should also appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of security forces, police and intelligent agencies," he added.
Information minister suggested the university students to carefully read the narrative on social media. Before disseminate any information on social media, he said, they should have the background information.
