Referring to the warmongerings in India following Pulwama attack, Qureshi said that there have been voices within India of "revenge" but Pakistan is responding with responsible statements.
He said if India steps ahead for peace, Pakistan will take two steps forward, adding that the PTI government is pursuing the policy of Quaid-e-Azam and asked India to come to negotiations. However, he made it clear that Pakistan will never compromise on its principled stance on supporting the Kashmiri people, adding that every child of the country stands by their Kashmir brothers in their struggles.
"While we want peace in the region...it should also be made clear that Pakistan will retaliate and retaliate with force, if India resorts to any misadventure," he warned, adding that Pakistan does not want war but peace in the region.
He said that both the countries have no other option but to sit together and find a political solution to the issue of Kashmir.
Qureshi further stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his speech, invited India to share evidence with Pakistan with regard to the allegations levelled against the country soon after the Pulwama attack.
Earlier, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, rejected India's claims on Kashmir, saying that Kashmir is neither a part of India nor will it ever be.
He said that India cannot suppress the struggle of Kashmiris through the use of brute force and persecution, adding that Kashmir is not only a dispute between Pakistan and India but it is also a global issue.
He said Pakistan desires peace in occupied Kashmir but for the purpose India should stop its brutalities there. He also asked Indian government to give due rights to Kashmiri people.
"India will have to put an end to atrocities in the Held Valley and it will have to give the same rights to Kashmiri people, which are given to the citizens of an independent state," he said, adding that the bloodshed intensifies an already burning fire.
He said that Pakistan wants peace and also invited India for a dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues.
The minister also stated that the entire nation is united against the threat of any Indian aggression, adding that all political parties are on one page on Pakistan's solidarity and the whole nation stands by the Armed Forces of the country.
Addressing the conference, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said that Kashmiris want to resolve the outstanding Kashmir issue according to their aspirations in line with resolutions passed by UN Security Council.
He said Indian brutalities against unarmed Kashmiris are on its peak after the Pulwama attack and Indian security forces are targeting Kashmiri youth, adding that law and order situation is deteriorating day-by-day in Occupied Kashmir.
He called upon the United Nations to constitute a special committee to probe Indian gross human rights violations in the IHK, adding that Pakistan is playing its diplomatic role effectively regarding Kashmir issue at the world level.
