Reacting on this information, a team of ASO, MCC Preventive mounted a stiff vigilance at the place. Resultantly, a passenger bus AL-Haris Coach bearing registration JB-1945 was intercepted at Mochko check point. The team during physical examination of the bus recovered substantial quantity of smuggled goods, which was concealed in its hidden cavities.
The seized goods including 180 Tyres, 320 packets of cigarettes, 3323 meters or 565kgs of clothes and 470 kg of betel nuts. The market value of seized smuggled goods is estimated to Rs 1.57 million. Consequent upon recovery, the preventive staff detained driver and conductor of the bus and confiscated all smuggled goods. The case is being registered and further investigation is in progress.
