For soyabeans, IEG Vantage projected US 2019 plantings at 86.044 million acres, down from its previous forecast of 86.204 million. The firm forecast 2019 soyabean production at 4.368 billion bushels based on a yield of 51.2 bushels per acre, the note showed. IEG projected total US wheat seedings for 2019 harvest at 46.782 million acres, down from its January figure of 47.163 million.
The firm's all-wheat forecast includes 31.290 million acres of winter wheat - matching the US Department of Agriculture's Feb. 8 estimate - plus 13.640 million acres of spring wheat other than durum, and 1.852 million acres of durum wheat.
For cotton, IEG projected total 2019 seedings of 14.652 million acres, up from the firm's January forecast of 14.637 million.
The firm projected 2019 seedings of sorghum at 5.588 million acres, barley at 2.656 million acres, oats at 2.772 million acres and rice at 2.870 million acres.
