Chief Coordinator Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Ijaz A Khokhar on Thursday said that the visit of Saudi crown prince is a positive indicator for restoring the confidence of foreign and domestic investors to invest in Pakistan which will play an instrumental role in revival of national economy.

Talking to Business Recorder he said that it was a positive signal for domestic and foreign investors to repose their confidence in the country adding that Saudi investment was welcomed in every circle of the society and the government was unable to finance in such huge power projects. We understand that there was a great need for the implementation of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on war footing to make it result-oriented.

He said that huge Saudi investment will open new vistas of development and prosperity as well as supportive in attracting investors of other countries adding that Saudi investment indicates that Pakistan is safe and attractive heaven for investors. Ijaz pointed out that due to negative travel advisory foreign buyers are reluctant to visit Pakistan for their business deals adding that huge Saudi investment in Pakistan will reduce the trend of negative travel advisory.

Ijaz underscored the need of adopting aggressive marketing policy and exploring non-conventional international markets for bringing big boost in export volume.

He urged upon the government that textile sector should be bifurcate in three categories like raw material, home textile and apparel adding that textile sector is comprising on many sub-sectors with different functions and their functioning are different of sub-sectors.
