"Recent rainfall provided relief in different drought vulnerable areas of Balochistan to quite extent," the Met said and added, "however, some districts which include Awaran, Chaghi, Kharan, Noushki, and Gwadar; similarly various districts of Sindh i.e. Dadu, Khairpur, Mityari, Qambar Shadadkot, Sajawal, Sanghar, Thatta, Tharparkar and Umerkot would remain under moderate drought conditions".
In Balochistan: Quetta (Samungli) received 47mm of rainfall over the period followed by Gwadar 42mm, Turbat 39mm, Pasni 32mm, Quetta (Sheikh Manda) 28mm, Dalbandin 22.8mm, Jiwani 22mm, Kalat 16mm, Lasbella 12mm, Zhob 9mm, Barkhan, Khuzdar and Panjgur 5mm, each, and Sibbi 4mm. Maximum rainfall in Sindh was recorded in districts includes: Mohenjo-Daro 13mm, Larkana 12mm, Rohri 10mm, Sukkur and Jacobabad 9mm, each, Padidan 7.2mm, Mirpurkhas 3mm, Dadu 2mm, Shaheed Benazirabad 1.2mm and Tandojam 1mm.
In the next 24 hours mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country with an isolated rain-thunderstorm and snowfall over hills in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. "A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country," the Met said.
Minimum temperature was recorded in Parachinar minus 6 degrees Celsius, Kalam, Skardu, Malamjabba, Bagrote and Mirkhani minus 5, each, Gupis minus 4, Hunza and Astore minus 3, each, and Murree minus 2.

Maximum rainfall was received in Narowal 85 mm, Sialkot Cantonment 48 mm, Rawalakot 45 mm, Jhelum 44 mm, Murree, Sialkot Airport and Garhidupatta 42 mm, each, Mangla and Khuzdar 41 mm, each, Gujranwala, Mohenjo-Daro and Mirkhani 39 mm, each, Parachinar and Lahore Airport 37 mm, each, Larkana 36 mm, Lahore City 35 mm, Kalam and Faisalabad 34 mm, each, Sahiwal 33 mm, Islamabad Zero Point and Khanewal 32 mm, each, Islamabad Saidpur, Okara, Hafizabad and Kotli 31 mm, each, Golra 30 mm, Rawalpindi Shamsabad and Jacobabad 29 mm, each, Lasbella 28 mm, Muzaffarabad 27 mm, Upper Dir, Bokra and Sukkur 26 mm, each, Lower Dir 25 mm, Chaklala 24 mm, Sibbi 21 mm, Skardu 19 mm, Barkhan 20 mm, Turbat 18 mm, Kalam 17 mm and Astore 15 mm.
