On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3689. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.404 billion and the number of lots traded 11,104.

Major business was contributed by gold PKR 3.056 billion followed by amounting to currencies through COTS PKR 1.734 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.684 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 815.709 million, platinum PKR 373.910 million, silver PKR 256.851 million, Brent crude oil PKR 148.278 million, DJ PKR 118.604 million, natural gas PKR 88.184 million, copper PKR 63.614 million, SP500 PKR 58.657 million and Japan Equity PKR 5.928 million.

In agriculture commodities 30 lots of cotton valued at PKR 41.328 million and 48,975 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 12.880 million were traded.
